Hike or walk a stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail, paddle and swim at Serene Lakes, or spend the day at Donner Lake.

Like most Donner Summit homes, this chalet has no air conditioning; the mountain air stays cool most of the year. Quiet ceiling fans run throughout, and every bedroom has blackout shades.
The property is located near the freeway, and traffic noise and light from passing cars may be noticeable at night, particularly in the primary bedroom. Light sleepers may wish to bring along items such as earplugs, an eye mask, or other personal comforts to ensure a restful night.
Pets are not allowed at this property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the home. A fine of $1,000 will be applied to any guest found violating this policy.

Beautiful home and close to so many trails, lakes, rivers and ski parks. Looks just as pictured with high end amenities. The bedding was very comfy and lots of extra blankets around. Our kids loved the climbing wall and ping pong table. If you’re a light sleeper, it is close to the freeway and train tracks. It’s not loud but definitely can hear it. Also lots of stairs, so very young kids need extra watching. We loved our stay and can’t wait to book again

Lovely, modern, clean house with all the amenities. Host was very responsive. Hot tub was hot, clean, and has strong jets. The immediate surroundings/neighborhood are just so-so, but we knew that. Short drive to Sugar Bowl, Serene Lakes, and lots of hiking and biking! Mini mart within walking distance. The house itself is very nice and well-appointed, would definitely recommend!
